401 Fifth Grade Social Studies—Old World History | Grade 5
This is a full year course.
This course is designed to give a history of the Eastern Hemisphere by geographical regions. The concepts of the course are a study of geography, history, and culture of the people in Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, Oceania, and Antarctica. The students will include studies of the lands, animals, people, and cultures of the world through a Christian perspective.
402 Sixth Grade Social Studies –New World History | Grade 6
This is a full year course.
This is a course designed to give a history of the Western Hemisphere. The concepts include the geography, history, and culture of the people of the countries of North American and South America, including a detailed history of the United States.
407 History 7: Geography/Arkansas History | Grade 7
This is a full year course.
First semester-Geography This course accomplishes two distinct objectives. First, students will survey the basic elements in the study of both physical and cultural geography. Second, students will examine both elements, physical and cultural geography, as they apply to regions and countries of the Eastern Hemisphere. Concurrent with their study of these regions and countries, students will be challenged to consider the need of all peoples of the world to be exposed to the saving message of the Gospel. Second semester-Arkansas History This course provides the student with a comprehensive overview of the unique history of Arkansas. The physical and cultural geography, as well as groups of people and individuals, are studied to showcase Arkansas as truly a “natural” state and highlight the achievement of many great Arkansans throughout the history of the state.
408 History 8: American History | Grade 8
This is a full year course.
This course provides a study of American history from the period of European explorations of the New World through the modern times of the United States. The majority of the class, however, will cover the colonial period through the reconstruction era. This course will be taught from a biblical perspective of history, emphasizing God’s sovereignty and the effects of the choices made by man in relation to God’s directive through scripture.

This is a full year course.
The primary purpose of Civics is to provide the student with a survey of the background, organization, and workings of the United States government from a biblical viewpoint. This course will investigate the inner workings of the three branches of U.S. Government and how the system of check and balances restrains any branch from becoming too powerful. The student must learn that “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” Proverbs 14:34.
410 World History | Grade 11 Grade 12 | 1.0 Credit(s)
This is a full year course.
The primary purpose of this course is to provide the student with a survey of world history from the earliest civilizations, and how creation refutes by reason, the fallacy of the evolution of mankind. Particular attention is given to the study of Ancient Greece, Rome, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the emphasis of Western Civilization, including the Judeo-Christian religion and morality. In the Modern Era, the Protestant Reformation, the French Revolution, the heritage of England and the World Wars are emphasized. When examining the events of world history, students will be encouraged to identify the effects of man’s obedience or disobedience to God’s Word.
411 U.S. History | Grade 10 Grade 11 | 1.0 Credit(s)
This is a full year course.
The purpose of this course is to provide the student with a survey of American history from the discovery of the Americas to the early 2000’s. During this course the student will study the themes of American democracy; civil rights and liberties; economic development; conflict and cooperation; the influence of technology; American society; ideas, beliefs and institutions; and the U.S. role in world affairs. God’s sovereignty, along with the foundation of Christian principles that our country is based upon, will be studied as well.

AP World History is for the student who is ready to be challenged in the way they look at history. The course is designed for the student who is willing to explore the subject matter through different points of view, analyze, and develop their own ideas about history. The course approaches history in a way that explores and investigates how humanity is intertwined through – trade, religion, politics, society, and technology and how these have changed and continued over time throughout the world. It will be an accelerated course. All AP World History students are required to take the College Board AP Exam. Students who successfully complete the course and the examination will receive weighted credit.
