Spanish I is a preparatory course for four-year colleges and universities. The focus of the class is learning to communicate in Spanish; therefore, on-task learning in class is necessary and daily work at home is critical. Basic vocabulary, grammar structures that develop basic greetings and communication will be the major communicative goals for Spanish I.

Prerequisites
Must have passed Spanish I with a “B” or better (with a “C”, students must have the
Spanish teacher’s permission).
Spanish II is a more in depth learning of concepts presented in Spanish I and additional new concepts.. Students will be expected to converse in Spanish during class and practice at home on a daily basis. Authentic reading materials will be added to the curriculum, including scripture passages in Spanish.

Prerequisites
Completion of Spanish II with a “B” or better and the Spanish teacher’s permission.
This elective course is for students who wish to build upon the Spanish language. The course begins with an in-depth grammatical review and continues with practices and opportunities to increase skills in listening, speaking, writing, and reading. The students will read two novels.
